Gamers can crossplay on different consoles with their Microsoft account, such as PC, Xbox, PS4, or Nintendo Switch.

Minecraft has been a favorite game for both kids and adults. If you enjoy playing Minecraft, you can easily link your gameplay with other devices using visiting aka.ms/remoteconnect.

http://aka.ms/remoteconnect is the website that users visit to enable the crossplay feature for Playstation, Xbox, Switch, and PC. To link the devices to your Microsoft account, users will need to enter a code.

Sometimes, however, the aka.ms/remoteconnect error can be caused by switching between devices or corrupt saved data. You can either sign in with Microsoft again to fix the problem or delete corrupted Minecraft saves.

What Is Aka.Ms/Remoteconnect?

To access all features, users can link multiple devices to a single Microsoft account using the aka.ms/remoteconnect site. This link can be used to play Minecraft on multiple consoles.

Microsoft CrossPlay allows remote connection to multiple devices.

Note: There is an error with a confusingly similar name – aka.ms/accountsettings – however that affects multiplayer rather than crossplay.

There are many possible reasons why your Minecraft game suddenly stops working smoothly. These are the most common reasons.

Corrupt game

There’s a chance that Minecraft may have corrupted files, as it has multiple versions.

A failed internet connection can cause corrupted files during an upgrade or installation. Other types of server and connection problems can also be caused by unreliable internet connections.

Changing devices

CrossPlay is more likely to cause aka.ms remoteconnect errors if you use it on multiple devices.

Solution 1: Sign in to your Microsoft account

When you’re playing Minecraft using your Microsoft account, https://aka.ms/remoteconnect error can appear on your screen. The error will usually be fixed by signing out and then reconnecting to your Microsoft account.

How to fix https://aka.ms/remoteconnect on Xbox

Copy the aka.ms/remoteconnect portal codes
Click the aka.ms/remoteconnect link to display the error. Next, you will be asked for a code. Once you have entered the correct code, you will be able to play Minecraft.

  • Go to the Settings menu in Minecraft.
  • Navigate to Devices and Connections > Remote Features.
  • Allow remote features and then choose “Instant-on”.
  • Visit https://aka.ms/remoteconnect/account then enter the code on your Xbox screen.
  • RemoteConnect can be set up
  • Instead of visiting aka.ms/remoteconnect, you can also click on https //aka.ms/xboxsetup to setup RemoteConnect on Xbox One.

Uninstall Minecraft

Use your Xbox One to visit the Microsoft Store, then search for Minecraft to download the game.
Click the sign-in button to open the game. Sign in to your Microsoft account automatically when you open the game.
Cross-Play on Android
Cross-Play is required to fix this error.

Start Minecraft on your Xbox console.

  • Click on Pause the game and then click Invite to Game. Click on the friend’s menu and then click Find Cross-Platform friends.
  • Search for their Minecraft ID to find the friends you are looking for. Click on Add Friend.
  • Wait for your friend’s acceptance before you can join their world.

How to fix https://aka.ms/remoteconnect on Nintendo Switch

RemoteConnect can be set up on the Switch
The problem will almost always be resolved if RemoteConnect is properly set up on your Nintendo Switch.

  • Sign out of your Microsoft account and uninstall Minecraft.
  • Use your Nintendo Switch to visit the Switch eShop and search for Minecraft.
  • Start the game by downloading it.
  • Visit https://aka.ms/remoteconnect and sign into your Microsoft account. Enter your Microsoft code.
  • Enable Cross-Play On Nintendo Switch

Cross-Play is required to fix the error on Nintendo Switch.

Start Minecraft on your Nintendo Switch console.

Click on Pause the game and then click Invite to Game. Click on the friend’s menu and then click on Find Cross-Platform friends.
Search for their Minecraft ID to find the friends you are looking for. Click on Add Friend.
Wait for your friend’s acceptance before you can join their world.

How to fix https://aka.ms/remoteconnect on PS4

RemoteConnect for your 4
Fix the error by signing into your Microsoft account and
then entering the Minecraft code on https://aka.ms/remoteconnect.

Sign out of your Microsoft account and uninstall Minecraft.
Go to the Playstation Store and search for Minecraft.
Start the game by downloading it.
Visit https://aka.ms/remoteconnect and sign in to your Microsoft account. Enter your Microsoft code.
Cross-Play on PlayStation 4
CrossPlay on Playstation is the same process as Xbox or Nintendo Switch. Make sure the Cross-Play feature has been enabled.

  • Launch Minecraft on your PS4 console or PS5 console.
  • Click on Pause the game and then click Invite to Game. Click on the friend’s menu and then click Find Cross-Platform Friends.
  • Search for their Minecraft ID to find the friends you are looking for. Click on Add Friend.
  • Wait for your friend’s acceptance before you can join their world.

Solution 2: Delete Minecraft Saved Games100

These steps will allow you to erase all corrupted data from your console.

Start Minecraft and navigate to Storage > System Settings. Your game files will be displayed.
Click on the delete icon and select the game file.
